Born and raised in Oklahoma, Layce graduated with a B.A. in Theatre and English Literature from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah.  After graduation she moved to Los Angeles where she became an award-winning playwright and screenwriter.  Layce wrote numerous television movies for Lifetime, Fox, USA, NBC, CBS and ABC.  Her playwrighting credits include Los Angeles premieres of her plays “Tiger Lady,” “Sweet Sufferings,” “The Savage God,” and “Under the Moon.”  Her play “Tiger Lady” has also been produced in Dallas, Oklahoma City, Memphis, Newfoundland and Ireland.  She has garnered several writing awards including Drama-Logue’s award for Best Playwrighting and the Valley Theatre League’s award for Best New Play. Her ten mintue plays “The Death of Liddie Birdsong” and “Hiring Miracle” won the Best In Ten playwrighting competition and were produced at Carpenter Square Theatre in Oklahoma City. Her novel, Tats, was published by Bella Books in June of 2011 and is a finalist for two Goldie’s awards in the categories Romantic Adventure and Ann Bannon Popular Choice.  The sequel, Tats Too: the Case of the Devil’s Diamond, was published in 2012.  Her newest novels, Bad Romance and Penny Nickels, will be published in 2013.

    hey. I have never met or read about someone so like me except for the obvious. i love joplin, simone, debra harry rocks. i love theatre and perform at theatre bartlesville in at least 2-3 plays anually. just want to say hello. I’m goin to bare bones in muskogee for the first time this year. hope to meet shironbutterfly and others. congrats on being published. ive got 2 stories in the works myself but never seem to stay on track long enough to get them done. oh, well. good luck and i invite you as a friend on face book. I’m happily married with 3 grown kids and work as a nurse in pawhuska. as before, good luck and congrats.
